Bhadang (Churmura/Murmura/Kurmura/Puffed Rice
A very easy to make & tasty dish. Add onions & tomatoes to it & it makes a perfect sukhi bhel.
Churmura/Kurmura Chivda/Bhadang
Ingredients:-
Puffed rice- 8 cups
1/2 cup peanuts
1 tbsp of oil
3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped
2 tsp of cumin seeds
A pinch of hing/asafoetida powder
2-5 green chillies or as needed
3 sprigs of curry leaves
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup of roasted split chickpeas(optional)
1 tsp of turmeric powder
2 tsp of red chilly powder or to taste
Salt to taste
Method:-
Puffed rice- 8 cups

1/4 cup of roasted split chickpeas(optional)
1 tsp of turmeric powder
2 tsp of red chilly powder or to taste
Salt to taste
Method:-
- In a big pan take oil. Once it becomes hot add the cumin seeds & allow them to splutter. Then add the hing.
- To this add the green chillies, curry leaves, garlic & peanuts.
- Add turmeric & red chilly powder. Roast the peanuts for 2 minutes & then add the roasted split chickpeas & raisins. Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes stirring continuously.
- Finally add the puffed rice & mix. Add salt.
- You can serve it with tea or just as a snack.
