Vegetable Soup
Ingredients:
1/4 cups carrots finely chopped
1/4 onion finely chopped
1/2 red pepper finely chopped
1/2 green pepper finely chopped
1/4 cup cabbage finely chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp cornflour dissolved in water
1 tsp red chilly sauce
Cheese grated (optional)
Method:-
1/4 cups carrots finely chopped
1/4 onion finely chopped

1/2 green pepper finely chopped
1/4 cup cabbage finely chopped

1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp cornflour dissolved in water
1 tsp red chilly sauce
Cheese grated (optional)
Method:-
- In a pan take oil. Once oil is hot add the onions & ginger garlic paste. Cook for a minute. Then add all the vegetables one by one. Fry them for a minute. Add 3 cups of water & boil the vegetables.
- Once they are cool grind the mixture in a blender. Discard the pulp of the vegetables.
- Then bring it to a boil one more time & then add the pepper & salt. Add the red chilly sauce too.
- Add cornflour dissolved in water & bring it to a boil one more time.
- Serve it in a bowl & sprinkle cheese on top.
- This is a very healthy recipe for kids too.
Sweet Corn Soup
Sweet Corn Soup
Ingredients:-1 can sweet corn (cream style)
1 can vegetable broth
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
1 tbsp oil
4 cups water
3 tbs corn flour dissolved in 1 cup of cold water
French beans-cut diagonally
Carrots-chopped fine
Celery-chopped into pieces
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp-red chilly sauce optional
Salt to taste
Green onion leaves for garnishing
Procedure:-
(1)In a pan put oil, once hot add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for a few seconds. Then add the vegetables one by one & stir for a few seconds, then add the sweet corn & stir for a minute.
(2)Then add the vegetable broth along with the soya sauce, chilly sauce, vinegar, sugar,salt & white pepper powder along with the required amount of water.
(3)Then add the corn flour dissolved in water & bring it to a boil stirring once in a while.
(4)Finally garnish with green onion leaves on top.
(5)Serve hot.
Hot & Sour Soup
Ingredients:
Oil – 1 Tbsp
Spring Onions-finely chopped
Ginger-Garlic paste-2 tsp
Peas & Carrots -– 1/2 cup
Frozen Corn – 1/4 cup
Green Beans – 1/4 cup
Celery – 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
Cabbage – 1/2 cup, thinly sliced
Vegetable Broth/Stock – 4 cups
Veg Noodles – 1 cup
Soy Sauce – to taste
Red Chili Sauce – to taste
Black Pepper – to taste
Vinegar – 1 Tbsp, or to taste
Corn Starch – 1 Tbsp, mixed with a little cold water
Spring Onion Greens– finely chopped
Procedure:-
1. Heat Oil in a medium sized pot.
2. Add Ginger Garlic paste & then add spring onions and saute for a few seconds
3. Add Corn, Green Beans, Peas & Carrots, Celery and Cabbage – saute for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add Vegetable Broth, Salt, Black Pepper and Noodles.
5. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer until Noodles are tender but not overcooked.
6. Add Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce and Vinegar – bring to a boil.
7. Mix 2-3 Tbsp water with the Corn Starch and add it to the soup – bring to a boil.
8. Garnish with Spring Onions leaves and serve hot.
Oil – 1 Tbsp

Ingredients:-
1 cup chicken cut into pieces & cooked
1/2 cup vegetable noodles
1/4 cup carrots cut lengthwise
1/4 cup green peas
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp red chilly sauce
2 tsp cornflour dissolved in one cup of cold water
1 can chicken stock/broth
2 tsp oil
Black pepper powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
1 cup chicken cut into pieces & cooked
1/2 cup vegetable noodles
1/4 cup carrots cut lengthwise
1/4 cup green peas
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp red chilly sauce
2 tsp cornflour dissolved in one cup of cold water

Black pepper powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-

- Then add the sauces & the cornflour dissolved in water.
- Bring it to a boil. Then add the cooked noodles & black pepper powder along with salt.
- Serve hot.
Tival(Kokam Drink)
Ingredients
Kokam-2-3
Green chillies-2 finely chopped
1/2 tsp sugar
1 garlic clove chopped into half optional
1 pinch hing(asafoetida powder)
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure:-
In a bowl put kokam,& dissolve it in water so that the water gets the kokam color. Then add the green chillies,garlic,hing,sugar & salt.Mix well.Garnish with coriander leaves. Usually tival is served after meals.

Sol Kadhi(Maharashtrian Kadhi)
Ingredients:-
1/2 cup coconut shredded
1 clove garlic crushed
1 green chilly
2-3 kokams
Water as needed
Salt as needed
Coriander/Cilantro leaves for garnishing
Procedure:-
Soak the kokam in little water for 10 minutes. Grind coconut, garlic, green chilly in a blender or food processer & take out the coconut milk.
Add it to the kokams adjust salt & garnish with cilantro.

Masala Milk(Popular in maharashtra especially during the kojagiri pournima festival. A winter treat.)
Ingredients:-
Whole milk-2 cups
Few saffron starands
1 tbsp of almond powder
1 tbsp of pistachio powder(optional)
1 tsp of cardamom powder
4 tsp of sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
Procedure:-
(1)Boil the milk in a saucepan add sugar.
(2)Then add the almond powder,pistachio powder.saffron, cardamom powder & nutmeg powder.
Whole milk-2 cups

Coffee
Ingredients:-
1 1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp of sugar
2 cardamom pods opened
2 tsp ground coffee
Method:-
1 1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp of sugar
2 cardamom pods opened
2 tsp ground coffee
Method:-
- Take water in a pan add sugar & cardamom & bring it to a boil.
- Then add the coffee. Then add the milk. Bring it to a boil again.
- Stir & then serve.
Mango Milkshake(Easy & tasty mango juice drink)
Ingredients:
2 mangoes peeled, sliced & then pureed
1 cup milk
3 scoops of mango ice cream
Ice cubes
Method:
Thanks to my husband for this simple & wonderful recipe. Mango milkshake is his most favorite drink.

- Blend the mango into a puree.
- Put the milk & ice cream into it & blend it again.
- Add ice cubes & serve.

Strawberry Milkshake
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh Strawberries
4 cup Milk
To taste Sugar
Vanilla Ice cream(optional)
Ice cubes
Method:
1 cup fresh Strawberries
4 cup Milk

Method:
- Wash strawberries properly and remove the stems.
- Blend strawberries and little milk together in a blender until crushed properly into a smooth paste.
- Add the remaining milk and sugar.
- Blend again for another 30 seconds or so.
- Add ice cubes
- Served chilled in glasses.
- You may add vanilla ice cream on top.
