Fish Cutlets
Fish Cutlets
Ingredients:-
2 king fish fillets
1 cup pohe(puffed rice) soaked
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup pudina paste
2 potatoes boiled & mashed
butter
Breadcrubs as needed
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
(1)Steam the fish & remove the bones.
(2)Then put the potatoes,pudina paste,pohe,turmeric powder,ginger-garlic paste & salt to taste
(3)Coat them with breadcrumbs & shallow fry them in butter.
(4)Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Shrimp Pakoda(Kolambichi bhaji)
Shrimp Pakoda
Ingredients:-
Shrimp cleaned washed deveined & cut into small pieces
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 cup besan/chickpea flour made into a thick paste with little turmeric powder, red chilly powder & salt
2-3 green chillies chopped fine
2 tsp ajwain/carom seeds
1 onion finely chopped
Coriander leaves
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
Shrimp cleaned washed deveined & cut into small pieces

2 tsp red chilly powder

- In th besan paste add the shrimp,onions turmeric powder, red chilly powder, green chillies, carom seeds & coriander leaves & salt mix well.
- In a pan take oil once hot add a spoonful of the batter & fry the pakodas till done.
- Serve with any chutney or sauce of your choice.
Shrimp Biryani
Shrimp Biryani
Ingredients:-
2 cups rice cooked
1 cup shrimps washed & cleaned
2 medium tomatoes
2 onions finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tbsp butter to be put on rice once cooked
2 bay leaves,
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 cloves
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
To be ground to a powder:- 2 green chillies,2 cardamom seeds,2 cloves,,1 tsp cinnamom powder, 1tsp coriander seeds,1 tsp cumin seeds,1/2 tsp black peppercorns, 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped fine, Grind all of this with little water.
Procedure:-(1)In a pan put oil,once hot add bay leaves, cumin seeds & cloves.
(2)Put onions & cook for a minute. Then add tomatoes. Then add the shrimps & cook for 1 minute.
(3)On that put the ground mixture,turmeric powder, red chilly powder,ginger-garlic paste & cook till the shrimps are fully cooked. Then mix in the cooked rice & check salt..Add the butter & garnish with corianderleaves.
Cooking time-20-25 minutes

Egg Bhurji(Andayachi Bhurji)(A popular dish in northern & western India & can be referred as spicy scrambled eggs.)
Egg Bhurji
Ingredients:-
Eggs-4

1 small tomato finely chopped
1/4 cup green peas (optional)
1 potato cubed(optional)
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
2 green chillies finely chopped
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
Procedure:-
Eggs-4

1 small tomato finely chopped
1/4 cup green peas (optional)

Procedure:-
- In a pan take oil, once hot add the onions & fry them for a minute. Then add the salt , turmeric & green chillies. Then add the tomatoes. Then add red chilly powder. Then add the potatoes. Then add the peas
- Cover the mixture till potatoes are fully cooked.
- Then break the eggs & add them one by one. Then stir the mixture & cook it till the eggs are fully cooked constantly stirring them. Check salt. Garnish will coriander leaves.
- Serve with chapati.
Fried Shrimps
Ingredients:-
20-30 shrimps or prawns cleaned & deveined
1 tbsp red chilly powder
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
2 tsp ginger-garlic-coriander leaves paste
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp rawa
Oil for frying
Salt to taste.
Procedure:
(1)Marinate the shrimps with salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder & ginger-garlic-coriander paste.
(2)Coat them in the flour & rawa.
(3)Shallow fry or deep fry them till done.
Grilled Masala Pomfret
Ingredients:-
1 pomfret-washed & cleaned
2 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp ground black pepper.
1 tbsp lemon juice
Procedure:-
(!)Make silts on the pomfret & marinate it with the above ingredients & bake in the oven at around 400 degrees. Bake 20 minutes on each side.

Shark Fish Curry(Mori Masala A popular konkani style tasty dish)
Ingredients:-
Shark 2 lbs-cleaned, washed & cut into small pieces
Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste-1 tbsp
Bay leaves-2
Cinnamom powder/dalchini-1 tsp
Cloves-2
Black peppercorns-3-4
poppy seeds-1 tsp(optional)
tamatind paste/pulp-2 tsp
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
1/2 cup fresh coconut
Onions-2 medium(1 1/2 chopped fine & half cut into long strips)
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Red chilly powder 1 tsp or to taste
Oil-2-3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Procedure:-

Procedure:-
- In a bowl take the shark pieces & marinate them with salt ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, turmeric powder & red chilli powder.
- In a pan take oil, once oil is hot add the finely chopped onions & fry them till they turn golden brown, then add the shark pieces fry them for 2 minutes then add 1 cup of water & cook the shark completely.
- Meanwhile in another pan take some oil & fry the whole spices till they turn brown. Take them out and in the same pan fry the remaining long strips onions along with the fresh coconut till brown but not burnt.
- Then add the spices to the coconut onion mixture & grind the mixture in a blender till you get a smooth thick mixture.
- After the shark is cooked add the mixture to it & give it a quick boil. Adjust salt. Shark curry is ready.
Smelt Fish Fry
Ingredients:-
Smelt Fish-7-8
Turmeric powder-1 tbsp
Red chilly powder-2 tbsp
Rice flour/ Wheat flour-for coating
sooji-for coating
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
Method:-
(1)Clean smelt fish & wash them.
(2)Apply salt,,turmeric powder, red chilly powder to it.
(3)Coat it with flour & sooji.
(4)Shallow fry in oil
(5)Serve it with daal & rice.

Kalva Fry(Oyster Fry)
Ingredients:-
Oyster (Kalva) cleaned frozen available in chinese grocery store.
1 tsp of turmeric powder
2 tsp of red chilly powder or to taste
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
wheat/rice flour for coating
rava or sooji for coating
Coriander leaves
Method:-

Method:-
- In a bowl wash the oysters & pat them dry.
- Then add the salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder to them & leave them for about 20 minutes.
- Oysters already have a lot of salt so check salt before adding too much.
- Take oil in a pan. Mix the flour & rava together. Coat the oysters with this mixture.
- Fry in oil till done. Oyster tend to shrink in size when cooked.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Kalva Masala(Oyster Masala)
Oyster are usually eaten with bhakris,rotis or rice. This dish is usually made for lunch & is followed by sol-kadhi.
Kalva Masala
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen oysters shell removed & cleaned available in supermarket.
2-3 green chillies
1/2 cup coconut scrapped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1 -3 black peppercorns
1 tsp tamarind paste
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 onion(3/4 finely chopped & 1/4 cut into long strips)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:-

Method:-
- In a heavy bottomed pan heat oil. To this oil add the finely chopped onions & fry them for 2 minutes
- Grind the coconut , green chillies, 1/2 of the coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste,coriander seeds,1/4 onion cut into long strips & black peppercorns & make a thick paste.
- To the onion in the pan add the oysters, turmeric powder & little salt as the oysters already have salt. Add tamarind paste
- Cook them covered for 10 minutes & then add the ground masala.
- Cook again for a few minutes & adjust salt.
- Garnish with remaining coriander leaves.
- In a similar manner you can prepare clam masala also.
Hot & Sour Mackeral(Bangda)
Ingredients:
Mackeral-2-3
Turmeric powder-1 tbsp
Red chilly powder-1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
Black peppercorns-1 tsp
Onion-1/4 small onion chopped
Tamarind paste-1 tbsp
Coconut scrapped-1/4 cup
Tirphal(Sichuan pepper) whole
Oil-1 tbsp
Procedure:-
(1)Clean & cut mackeral horizontally into 3-4 pieces. Wash & clean them well & apply salt.
(2)Grind turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander seed, black peppercorns, onion, tamarind paste & coconut. Make a thick paste & rub it on the mackeral.
(3)In a pan take oil , once hot add the above mixture & cook till mackeral is fully cooked. Add tirphal. Bring it to a quick boil. Check the salt.

Ingredients:-
1 cup shrimps washed cleaned & deveined
1 big potato cut into cubes
1 big tomato finely chopped
1 cup coconut shredded
1 big onion finely chopped
1/2 onion cut into long strips
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
2-3 cloves
2-3 black peppercorns
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure:
(1)Rub red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt on the shrimp & keep it for 20 minutes.
(2)In a little oil roast the cloves, coriander seeds, cinnamon powder,poppy seeds, black peppercorns, fennel seeds, long onion strips & coconut & roast till coconut turns brown but not burnt. Once cooled grind this with little water to for a thick paste.
(3)In the remaining oil fry the onions for about 2 minutes. Then put the shrimps.Add the potato cubes with tomatoes & cook till shrimps are fully cooked. Then add the ground paste. The gravy should be thick but not too runny. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Eggs 5 boiled & peeled & cut into pieces
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 small tomato finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 cups basmati rice cooked separately
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp cinnamom powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
Red chilly powder to taste
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing.
Method:-
Eggs 5 boiled & peeled & cut into pieces
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 small tomato finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 cups basmati rice cooked separately
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp cinnamom powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
Red chilly powder to taste
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp garam masala powder

Method:-
- In a pan take oil, once hot add the cloves & cinnamom. Then add the onions & fry them till they are golden brown.
- Then add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for a few minutes add the turmeric powder & red chilly powder & then add the tomatoes. Fry the tomatoes for 2 minutes & add garam masala powder.
- Add salt & cook this with a little water. Then add the rice mix the rice well with the masala & finally add the boiled eggs. Mix well. Garnish with cilantro.
Grilled Salmon
Ingredients:-
2 Salmon big pieces
1 tsp black pepper powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
Marinate the salmon pieces in the above ingredients for at least 1/2 hr. Put a grilling pan on the burner. Once hot put the marinated salmon on the grill & grill it till done on both sides.

1 tbsp lemon juice

Procedure:-
Marinate the salmon pieces in the above ingredients for at least 1/2 hr. Put a grilling pan on the burner. Once hot put the marinated salmon on the grill & grill it till done on both sides.
Rainbow Trout Fish Curry
Pomfret curry can also be prepared in this way

1/4 onion chopped fine
2-3 peppercorns
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
Tirphal( Sichuan pepper)
1/2 cup coconut shredded
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp of deghi mirch powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
Rainbow Trout fish washed cleaned & cut into pieces
1/4 onion chopped fine
2-3 peppercorns
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
Tirphal( Sichuan pepper)
1/2 cup coconut shredded
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp of deghi mirch powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
- Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, red chilly powder & salt. Leave aside for 20 minutes.
- In a pan take oil. Once hot add little onion. Then add the marinated fish pieces with very little water.
- Mix coconut milk with tamarind paste. You can make coconut milk at home by adding water to the coconut & blending it in a blender & then straining the milk from the coconut. Discard the cocounut.
- Then make a past of coconut, coriander seeds, remaining onion, tirphal, peppercorns with little water. Make a thick paste.
- Once the fish is cooked add the coconut-tamarind mixture. Bring it to a quick boil. Then add the coconut paste. Again bring it to a boil. Be very careful with the fish pieces so that they don't break. Then adjust salt & red chilly powder.
Lake Perch Fish Curry

Ingredients:-
Lake Perch fish washed cleaned & cut into pieces
1/4 onion chopped fine

1/2 tsp coriander seeds

1/2 cup coconut shredded
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp of deghi mirch powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:-
Lake Perch fish washed cleaned & cut into pieces
1/4 onion chopped fine
2-3 peppercorns
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
Tirphal( Sichuan pepper)
1/2 cup coconut shredded
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp of deghi mirch powder
Salt to taste

Ingredients:-
Butterfish 2 cleaned head removed & washed
I tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp black pepper powder
Salt as needed
Red chilly powder as needed
1 tsp turmeric powder
Wheat flour 2 tbsp mixed with one tsp rawa/sooji
Procedure:(1)Make slits on the butterfish rub salt , pepper powder,red chilly powder, turmeric powder & lemon juice. Let it stand for about 20 minutes.(2)Coat it with the flour/& sooji mixture& grill it in the oven at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes on each side.

Egg Curry
Ingredients:-
4-5 boiled eggs peeled
2 small onions finely chopped
2 potatoes cut into cubes
1 cup coconut scrapped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp garam masala powder

Procedure:-(1)Ina pan take oil once hot add onions & fry them till they are translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste & fry for a minute.Then add the dry powders & roast. Then add 1/2 cup water
(2)Then fry the whole garam masala along with a little onion & coconut in a separate pan.till they turn brown.
Once cooled grind it to a smooth paste.
(3)Once the onions are soft cut the boiled eggs into half & add it to the pan one by one.then add the paste. Bring it to a boil & add to kokams to it. While boiling you can break to raw eggs & put into the mixture. Cover it with a lid & cook them till eggs are cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Fried Mackeral(Bangda)
Ingredients:-
Mackeral washed ,cleaned & made into 4 pieces
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp wheat flour
1 tsp rava or sooji
Oil for shallow frying
Procedure:-
Marinate the fish pieces with turmeric powder, red chilly powder & salt.
In a pan take oil once hot dip the fish pieces in the wheat flour & sooji mixture & then fry them in oil till done.

Ingredients:-
2 cups long grain rice
2 big onions cut into long strips
2-3 green chillies
15 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
2 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2-3 tbsp oil or ghee
1 tsp coriander-cumin powder
4-5 fish pieces(king fish or salmon preferred)
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure;-

- Wash the rice & pressure cook it in double quantity of water till done(2 cups use 4 cups of water).
- Marinate the fish pieces in red chilly powder, turmeric powder salt.
- Fry the in oil till done.Put them aside
- Make a paste of ginger-garlic, poppy seeds & green chillies.
- In the oil put onions & fry them till golden brown. Then add the above paste & coriander-cumin powder & the fish pieces. Adjust salt.
- Then arrange layers of fish & rice on top of one another.
- Garnish with coriander leaves

Ingredients:-
Shrimp/Prawns-15 washed cleaned deveined
2 medium onions finely chopped
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/4 inch ginger shredded
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 green chilly (optional)
1/2 cup coconut shredded
Salt to taste
Coriander/Cilantro for garnishing.
Procedure:-

- Marinate the shrimps with salt turmeric powder & red chilly powder.
- In a pan take oil. Once hot add the onions (reserve a little onion for grinding. fry the onions for 2 minutes add the shrimps to it adjust the salt & red chilly powder as per taste.
- Meanwhile make a ground paste of coconut, coriander seeds , black peppercorns,garlic, green chillies ginger & onions reserved.
- Once the shrimps are cooked add the mixture to the shrimps & bring it to a boil. Garnish with coriander leaves.
King Fish Fry(Surmai Fry)(Mouth-watering & tasty fish dish)
Ingredients:-

Clams Curry(Teesaryacha masala Quick & easy indian style clam curry)
Ingredients:-
Clams-2 lbs
! onion finely chopped
1 tsp tamarind paste
1/4 cup coconut fresh
2 cloves garlic
1/4 inch ginger
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp coriander leaves
1 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 inch cinnamom stickp
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 red chilly( optional)
Oil 1 tbsp
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
(1)Put the clams in boiling water for about 10 minutes till they open up. It is easy to open them this way. Put the clam in just one side of the shell throw the other side away
(2)Apply salt, turmeric powder & red chilly powder.
(3)In a pan take very little oil fry very little onion in it along with the whole garam masala & red chilly & garlic & ginger, once it is brown add the coconut to it. Fry the coconut till it becomes brown but not burnt. Grind it to a thick paste.
(4) In another pan take oil, once hot add the onions fry them for a while the add the clams with salt & very little water. Cook for around 10 minutes till clams are cooked & then add the ground coconut & whole spices mixture.
(5)Add the tamarind paste at this point.
(6)Serve with chapati or rice.

Fajav beans one cup soaked overnight & pressure cooked till done.
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
I tomato finely chopped
1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
2 tsp garam masala powder
2 medium onions finely chopped
1/2 shrimps marinated with salt ,turmeric powder & red chilly powder
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
2-3 black peppercorns
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cinnamom powder
2-3 cloves
1 bay leaf
1/4 of the onion mentioned above

- In a heavy bottomed pan take oil. Once oil is hot add the onions & saute them till light brown.
- Then add some salt & turmeric powder alongwith red chilly powder.
- Add ginger-garlic paste.
- Once the onions are soft cut the eggs into pieces & mix them with the oniions. Add garam masala.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
